It's been some time since I updated this account, for a number of reasons none of which are really relevant to me any more.

I now have a renewed interest in taking photographs and with that in mind, I traded in my old camera gear and got myself a new camera. Happily, I paid very little for the new camera because the old kit was actually worth something (well, the zoom lens was anyway).

I didn't get anything extravagant, just a bridge camera. I don't have the time or the inclination to lug around the kit or lenses for an SLR and I couldn't afford a decent replacement for my old D70 anyway. I will miss the larger sensor from the D70 but being limited to six mega-pixels was a real downer.
